What does a well-developed public space mean?

LUN is the largest PropTech company in Ukraine. Their products help people find housing in Ukraine and European countries.

Background

Lun Misto is a project of the LUN website, which explores the urban space of Ukrainian cities, analyzes open data, cooperates with urban planners, and forms a demand for higher quality of life in the metropolis. Having no current competition, it’s a service that provides up-to-date infographics about the quality of life in Ukraine.

Problem

New buildings often appear in all districts of Kyiv and affect the architectural landscape of the capital. Buyers of housing in new buildings receive not only apartments but also the area around the property. Thus, they affect the comfort of urban spaces. We wanted to understand how to help LUN Misto to promote examples of well-developed public spaces more effectively. We need to learn what "well-developed public space"means for different categories of Kyiv’s new neighborhood inhabitants.

My Role

Collaborated with a team of researchers to conduct in-depth interviews with home buyers in Kyiv's new neighbourhoods to understand their perceptions of comfort and priorities when choosing an apartment.
• Constructed customer journey maps to provide a holistic view of the users experience from initial awareness to post-purchase interactions, highlighting comfort-related aspects.
• Contributed to the development of targeted marketing and communication strategies that resonate with buyer preferences for “Comfort”.
• Formulated actionable recommendations that will enhance Lun Misto's marketing and communication strategies to appeal to buyers seeking comfortable apartment living environments.

• Compiled a comprehensive report summarizing the research findings and providing actionable recommendations for Lun Misto.

Blagoustriy: The research was about “Blahoustriy”, a Ukrainian term that’s difficult to translate but refers to the improvement (and/or beautification) of public services or infrastructure. In the presentation we will call it “development of public spaces" or “well-developed public spaces" depending on the context.
